Geocaching and Walking/Driving Tour

Celebrate the small town of Romney’s gigantic role that ensured women would gain the right to vote in 1920.

Visit the tour booth, located adjacent to the Doughboy statue outside the courthouse on Main Street, to learn about this amazing history. A researcher will be present to amplify on the theme. There, you can also pick up tour brochures for a walking/ driving tour that showcases sites that help tell the story, while featuring geocaches that line the tour route.

Hopefully, after your visit you will appreciate this little known history of a town and its political leaders – who deserve recognition for the role they played, both for and against a woman’s right to vote.

Free fans and commemorative buttons will be available for visitors interested in this history, while supplies last.
